Lodge based holidays…
Join us on one of our amazing lodge based holidays, we run these as courses and luxury lodge based tours. These trips are really special, not only do they give you the chance to explore some of the best sea kayaking spots in Scotland, but also a chance to enjoy a relaxing holiday once off the water.
Staying in a nice cottage or lodge you have the luxury of a hot shower or bath at the end of your paddle, a delicious locally sourced homemade 2 course dinner and some specially selected wine. Meals are prepared for us by the Achiltibuie Gardens.
Although a lodge based trip, we handpick properties for their stunning remote locations, giving you the chance to explore further in the evenings, or just relax with the rest of the group over a dram or glass of wine.

Outstanding homemade local produce
Our food is produced by our partner company the ‘Achiltibuie Gardens’, Alison and julie grow amazing produce hydroponically in their poly tunnels overlooking the Summer Isles. They are also amazing and passionate cooks and prepare our meals for us so that we are spoilt by amazing local produce. Absolutely everything is homemade from the bread to the oatcakes for our lunches to the cheescakes, possets and pavlovas for our desserts. We will have local meats and fresh seafood from the waters we have paddled in for our dinners. So not only will you be on a kayaking journey, but a culinary one too!
Magic of the Summer Isles
An iconic sandstone archipelago, these islands and skerries sit in the ‘Minch’, separated from the Atlantic by the Outer Hebrides.
We will venture into the archipelago by sea kayak and find coral sands, sandstone arches and the giant cathedral cave. You will be surrounded by the most stunning sandstone mountains erupting out of the landscape all around you.
These waters are a Marine protected area, home to 20 different types of citations, so if you are in luck you may spot a porpoise or pod of dolphins. Sea Eagles nest near-by and fly overhead and the islands and skerries are home to wildflowers, purple heathers and nesting birds, seals and otters.

Magic of Assynt and the far north
Assynt and the far north is a unique and rugged coastline, with everything to offer the paddler. Its unique geology, gives you countless white sand beaches, enchanting islands, waterfalls, famous sea stacks and an abundance of wildlife making it the sea kayakers dream.
This trip will allow you to get close to the mighty sea eagle, we will paddle to see the Eas a Culallan waterfall, the highest waterfall in the UK. Depending on experience levels and weather/tide conditions, we might also get the chance to visit Handa Island, with towering cliffs, cavernous caves and thousands of nesting birds, kittiwakes, guilemots, skua and of course the famous puffin.
For this trip we will be based on the north Assynt coastline in beautiful cottages on the outskirts of the tiny village of Kylesku. With spectacular views of the Assynt mountains and the amazing sea lochs Loch Cairn Ban, Loch Glencoul and Loch Dhu.

Summer Isles Courses
Our renowned ‘Summer Isles’ courses, all-inclusive of fantastic accommodation and amazing local food! Where you will explore the ocean in a relaxed atmosphere, whilst learning and developing skills in context as you paddle.
Each year we run our amazing ‘Summer Isles courses’, which are both a course and a holiday, rolled into one. A chance to escape to an island home, relax and explore. Paddling each day from the doorstep of your secluded cottage, you will discover the Summer Isles Archipelago, one of the most spectacular places to paddle in Scotland.
Introduction to Sea Kayaking is for anyone who wants to learn a little more about sea kayaking. Whilst having a fantastic, fun holiday, spotting wildlife and spending time in nature. Each course is different and is tailored to meet the needs and wants of you the client.
Intro-mediate Sea Kayaking will be aimed at people with kayaking experience, who would like to develop skills, paddle in different conditions, acquire more knowledge and spend more time out on the water exploring and enjoying enjoying nature.
